PSA: Apartment hunting in NYC is stressful ppl! Most of my closest pals are moving to Charlotte (aka CharLIT) and already have leases... WHAT?!?!? Meanwhile, I'm just now realizing how big NYC is. West End? Never heard of it. Manhattan, more like NOThattanin... I mean, $1,800 for a bunk bed... who can afford that... seriously.

But among the unknowns and the overwhelming options for potential neighborhoods and locations comes an underlying sense of excitement and anticipation. Regardless of where I live, I'll be working 5 minutes away from Times Square (a place the "cultured" residents of NY apparently avoid like the plague... maybe because of the adults dressed up as cartoon characters? IDK TBD)... and that's pretty cool (not the adults dressed up like cartoon characters... the location).

God also has a sense of humor. Here I am boppin' along not really thinking about roommates and He literally put one in my life. She texted me out of the blue to introduce herself, we got coffee, and I think it's safe to say it's a roommate-ship made in Heaven... literally. I'm excited to have a buddy to take on NYC with.

Stay tuned as I continue on the long journey of finding a NY apartment... it's going to require a lot of ice cream, google searching, and a decent credit score... yikes.
